Terms of service

1. The service

Puzzle Creator ("the Service", available at puzzle-creator.com) lets you configure puzzle books and download generated, print-ready PDF files. The Service is provided by the operator of puzzle-creator.com ("we", "us").

2. Your account

You need an account to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live).

3. Subscriptions & billing

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through our payment processor, Stripe. You can cancel at any time via the billing portal in your dashboard; access to paid features ends when your subscription ends. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next billing cycle.

4. Your content & generated books

You own the puzzle books you generate. We claim no rights over your generated PDFs, and you may use them commercially — including publishing and selling them on any platform.

Custom word lists you save remain yours. You are responsible for ensuring words you supply do not infringe third-party rights and are not unlawful or offensive.

5. Acceptable use

You may not misuse the Service: no attempts to breach security, no scraping or bulk-extracting puzzle data outside the intended book-generation flow, no reselling access to the Service itself, and no use that violates applicable law.

6. Availability & changes

We aim for high availability but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practical.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost royalties.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with notice where reasonable.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email or in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
